Intellectual property achievements are one of the important manifestations of a university's industry - academia - research development and innovation capabilities. Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) scientifically assesses the trends of technological development, and based on its own characteristics and advantages, as well as the social and economic development needs of Macau, targets the country's strategic emerging industries and applies for multiple technological inventions. As of now, MUST has cumulatively applied for 793 patents (528 invention patents), among which 489 patents have been authorized. (Statistical source: incoPat; Statistical time: October 2024). In addition, MUST's papers have also been cited by multiple global patents, and the number is showing an increasing trend year by year:
